Jane Esselstyn visits ASL

Jane Esselstyn, RN, spoke on “Chronic Western Disease Explained”, a plant-based approach to preventing and reversing disease, to a group of about 90 people on Thursday, February 28th, at the Appalachian School of Law.  Jane talked about the connection between diet and disease.   The diseases that she specifically addressed were diabetes, cancer, and heart disease.  She also mentioned that her dad, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, is 79 and mom, 77, take no medications.  Jane stayed after the presentation to answer questions.  There were also some sample foods provided from recipes previously sent by Jane Esselstyn.  Special thanks to those that provided the sample foods:   Becky Belcher, Katherine Kennedy, Patty Lester, Jackie and Nancy Pruitt, Glenna Owens and Beth Stanley.  Also, special thanks to Emily Elliott and Taylor Burgess for photos and Brian Presley for the sound system.

Jane’s well-known father, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, was in New York giving a presentation while her brother, Rip Esselstyn, Engine2 Diet, was in Florida speaking to a group.  The family continues to make appearances to support good health.
