ASL's Irina Dan to give presentation: Living in a Country without the First Amendment

 

On April 22, at 9:00 AM in the Appellate Courtroom, 2L Irina Dan will give a presentation: Living in a Country without the First Amendment

A discussion of living in communist Romania under the reign of Nicolae Ceausescu.  Delves into the history of communist Romania and the lack of the basic First Amendment Freedoms we enjoy in the United States.  Interview with an individual who was the subject of many interrogations by the Romanian secret police.

 

Ms. Dan will give a multimedia presentation, including a recorded interview.  She will reserve time for questions before the class concludes at 10:15 AM.
